In high-wire cucumber cultivation, a substantial amount of time goes into leaf picking. This is why we developed DIPLO. DIPLO picks at least 80 percent of the leaves in the 50-centimeter picking area and has a capacity of 1 hectare per 10 hours. As a result, growers save more than half of picking labor and can skim the labor peak. This makes the move from traditional cultivation to high-wire cultivation much easier.
In addition to the DIPLO for cucumber cultivation, we also see many opportunities for savings through automation in other greenhouse crops. Because we work together with the growers, we can serve several sectors in the future. Our ambition: greenhouse cultivation with automation that really works in practice.
